Sinister Angel was formed in Atlanta, Georgia in the early 80's by Greg Bolton, Billy May, Rick Norris and Jim Staggers. After recording a four song EP the band took off for Los Angeles, California. (Their EP is now a sought after collectors item.) Sinister Angel played several popular venues while they were living in L.A. including Madame Wong's West, the Troubadour and the Roxy. Unfortunately, after being in L.A. about one and a half years, the band members went their separate ways. Some moved back to Atlanta while some stayed in California. Then after several lineup changes Sinister Angel disbanded.

Around the year 2000, three of the original band members got back together and began writing and recording new material. Greg, Billy and Rick liked the direction things were moving in and Sinister Angel was officially reborn.
